I lived in Singapore for the past five years, having returned to NY in March, 2003. Like so many others caught abroad after 9/11, I found I had time on my hands and was able to draw on relationships I had built with people involved with running factories and suppliers of silk scarves from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and India.

Since my return to NY in March of 2003, I have been importing the scarves and other Southeast Asian gift items, including Cambodian silver, selling primarily to museum gift shops, small boutiques, and specialty stores. Additionally, I have designed scarves for several universities, and am in the process of designing sarongs for several companies. Several museums have approached me regarding product development. I am also in discussion with several companies about the possibility of giving them an exclusive for one of the silver items.
